Good scriptwriting isn't an easy task, but you don't need to be a
professional to write a good script. Keep it simple and use words that your
intended audience will relate to and find easy to understand. Avoid language
that they won't understand.
Your script should sound natural as it's being read, so try to make it
sound as if it is something you would really say. If it's too stiff, it won't
sound right.
There is scriptwriting software available if you are writing a long
script. Some scriptwriting software includes Final Draft 8 and one called Movie
Magic Screenwriter 6. Celtx also offers scriptwriting software that you might
find helpful.
As you're writing your script, include direction in addition to the
words that are scripted. Direction describes the actions that take place. Be as
detailed as possible so it comes off the way you want it to. Indicate whether
props, graphics or charts are to be used. Props are very helpful in any video, because
most people are visual learners.
Remember to keep it as natural as possible and read the scrip out loud
to ensure this is something that sounds natural and not stiff.
